Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a Cardiovascular Invasive
Technologist for a Part Time, Day shift position in
Charlottesville, VA. This role requires a 30 minute call
response.

About the department:
This well-rounded team includes 20 members focused on Cardiac Cath
and EP patient populations. The Cardiovascular Invasive
Technologist can expect to see 10 patients per day. The schedule is
Monday to Friday days with no weekends. Rotating call after 4PM is
required.
Job Requirements
Position Overview
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist is a health care
professional that, through the utilization of specialized equipment
and under the direction of a qualified physician, assists in the
performance of cardiac and vascular procedures. Resulting in an
accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or
acquired heart disease while maintaining maximum patient safety and
comfort. The Cardiovascular Invasive Tech performs/reviews a
baseline patient assessment, evaluates patient response to
diagnostic or interventional maneuvers during cardiac
catheterization laboratory procedures. Provides patient care
commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as
requested and under the direction of a qualified physician. The
Cardiovascular Invasive Tech acts as a first assistant during
diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
This position will assist with IV starts, patient transport and
general support of the department.

Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist is a health care

A graduate of a diploma, associates, or bachelor's health sciences
program (includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular technology,
ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy or nursing)
or a licensed/certified EMT or paramedic. ACLS required within 90
days of hire.
Qualifications:
ALD - Associate's Level Degree, BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree, DIP
- Diploma, TS - Trade School Graduate
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Certification -
American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Basic Life Support (BLS) -
Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
